Body composition analysis is performed using the latest-generation TANITA MC-580 MP device. The analyzer employs innovative dual-frequency technology based on the bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) method. The accuracy of results for individual components, including body fat, is 100 grams.
Body composition analysis determines the following parameters:
- Body fat content
- Muscle mass
- Body hydration level
- Bone mass
- Metabolic age
- Basal metabolic rate (BMR) and daily caloric requirements
The examination is most commonly performed in patients with overweight or obesity, those undergoing a weight loss program, patients with underweight, hormonal disorders, or metabolic conditions, as well as healthy individuals focused on maintaining their physique.
How to prepare for the examination:
- Fast beforehand — last meal at least 4 hours before the examination
- Empty your bladder 30 minutes before the examination
- Do not drink coffee within 12 hours before the examination
- Avoid intense physical exercise the day before the examination
- Do not consume alcohol within 48 hours before the examination
